Hey, I’m Kate — known to many as Tater — woodworker and founder of Tater Made.
I’ve always loved working with my hands and creating pieces that blend form and function. Each tray I make starts as a sketch, inspired by everyday living — the kind of moments that happen naturally around the home.
Wood is an incredible material to work with — every grain pattern, tone, and mark tells its own story. My goal is to highlight that beauty through clean design, natural finishes, and a focus on honest craftsmanship.
Our process.
Every tray begins with carefully selected hardwood. Each piece is cut, shaped, sanded, and finished by hand to bring out the natural warmth and texture of the wood. We use premium hardwax oil finishes for a smooth, durable surface that enhances the wood’s natural color and feel.
The result? A piece that’s as practical as it is beautiful — made to serve, display, and live with for years to come.
